Hi Susan, I think your bright idea is going to be great. Well done being so ambitious and driven to help get global obesity rates trending down . I heard you say that getting the excess weight off is the number one thing people need to do to lower their risk of getting covid. I hear you, that excess weight carries all sorts of risks. But on the topic of covid, I would have very much preferred to hear you acknowledge science by saying ‘after getting the vaccine, the number one thing you can do to lower the risk of getting covid, is to get your excess weight off’. It is so important that influential people like yourself, with access to thousands of people, promote scientific facts wholly, not selectively. Thank you for everything your program has done for me.

    Hi,

This is VERY VERY exciting!!! I’m so happy to be a part of this program now. (I started the boot camp three weeks ago and I feel great). My only critique of the BLE program is that caters highly to my privilege as a white woman and so far I have been surrounded by other amazing and wonderful and inspiring also white women who share my privilege in how I interact with the world. I am SUPER craving some BIPOC insights, leadership and discussions within this community. And I’d love to know more about how they have navigated changes in light of some very real cultural connections and traditions surrounding food that right now we would delegate as NMF.

I discovered a great podcast called “GirlTrek’s Black History Bootcamp”. The founders of this movement share a very similar mission (but they are mindful of the skyrocketing health issues that affect black women). As you are entering your reboot and next phase I think it would truly make this whole thing unstoppable if you could join forces with BIPOC leaders such as the amazing women who are championing the Girltrek program.

Thank you! Sending light as this program and mission transforms!!!

Katherine. I am moved in your transparency and sensitivity. “happy, thin, and free” has at times felt to me like something Matel would use to promote Barbie. and not the multi-cultural Barbie. I am hopeful in Susan’s Inspirations and plans. it has felt important to me to feel that I belong. and at times, the way some conversations have landed in me, that has not been the case. I am not actively a
bright Liner, but have done the boot camp. I have been hovering and believe it’s itme for me to walk all the way in now in this evolved Phase. Thanks!

And we listen to our community. If you have any feedback about our messaging or how we can be more inclusive, we are here and we are listening.
PS: We are phasing the word “thin” out of our messaging for that very reason. 🧡

II read the book in october 2020 and lost 29pounds.My health improved so much by loosing that weight.I did the14 day challenge, then I did the bootcamp and then I joined bright lifets.I was not following with brightlifers and started to fall back into my sugar addiction so I rejoined the bootcamp, but I do not want to keep on spending so much money.I do absolutely love BLE as nd it is the best lifestyle I have ever done. THE PROBLEM THATI have is joining on the group’s and committing to the phone convetsations. So I am hoping and praying that this new way is going to help me to keep on my journey with you Susan.I already preordered your book rezoom..This program is the best thing I ever did for myself.❤

I am so glad that you are doing this now. I lost over 60 lbs in early 2017 on BLE (Hurray Heath House!) and after boot camp joined Bright Lifers for a bit and then fell away, I gained most of it back and have struggled ever since then. I didn’t feel like I belonged, the courses didn’t really appeal to me. I am that person who just wants to do the plan and feel supported until I’m at my goal, wherever that may be.

I started BLE this morning for the first time in a long time, and just listened to you VLOG. Perfect! I’m in!!!

You are such an inspirational person. I think your mission sounds amazing and it will work because you have such an amazing, galvinising presence. I’m one of your hoveres, I love hearing about what you do and I’m so fortunate to not be obese. I find your information so interesting, especially around addiction as in my work I find people struggling with addictive behaviours. You are just amazing. Jeanne

I invite you to consider not relying on governmental agencies for support on proper human nutrition as all of them are corrupt and have only financial gains as their main focus. I fear this would inhibit the drive of your momentum.

Wow, this is really wonderful to hear. I am particularly jazzed by the larger, global vision. I can be counted among the 1 million bright transformations, having been part of BLE since 2017. I have to admit, however, that all of BLE has never resonated with me and my transformation required more than just BLE to be fully effected. I do credit BLE with introducing me to new ideas and other groups whose work led me to more and I eventually found my own way to transformation, BLE was catalytic, but not enough. I was really glad to hear that BLE will be joining forces with others to tackle obesity. I’m all in with that and it’s a big effort. In my view, the food environment must radically change. The change in that is what created the obesity epidemic and that will be critical in the reversal of the problem. With 80% of food products sold in supermarkets being highly processed and very unhealthy, until that changes, I am not hopeful about obesity trends reversing. I think the historical moment is opportune, more and more people are realizing that the 10 companies that control our food supply don’t have our health as their first priority. Count on my support there!

The membership model also makes good sense, as being part of BLE has been just too expensive with all the add-on courses. The devil is in the details, however, so I’ll look forward to hearing more about how memberships will operate. I hope there will be some discounting for those of us who have been paying for individual components for so long, at least for a few years to come.

Most excellent announcement! I’m a relative newbie (started with book Nov 2020) and reached my goal by Feb 2021. Life happened and I saw the weight rising, so am on rezoom now. I continue to marvel at BLE’s greatest accomplishment in my life: how it changed my mind and altered my life.

Because of BLE I am more aware of obesity and “…so much human potential trapped under that weight” as I walk through my small town. I am emboldened to tell a dear friend (75 yrs old today) about BLE, not just to tell her but to offer to be her companion on the journey to regaining the confidence that she lost as she gained the weight in the last 10 yrs. Because of her age and financial status, I would ask Dr T and the team to make BLE in its new membership model truly affordable—maybe consider scholarships, members-only discounts on, books, accessories, senior and family discounts,, price breaks for signing up for longer memberships, etc.

I know that when we see the complete roll-out of “new, improved BLE” the foundational principles that have made BLE so successful will continue in place.

    Praying for “team BLE”!

Thank you Susan!! I believe the Lord is using you in a mighty way!
On May 1 2021 some friends at church introduced me to BLE. I purchased the book and took the 14 day challenge. I started at 180 pounds and reached my goal weight on Oct 15. I have lost 50 pounds and I am healthy for the first time in a long time. My blood sugar and cholesterol are now in normal healthy range and I am no longer on blood pressure medicine. At 65 I am now jogging several miles a day and doing weights and resistance training at the gym. I can get on the floor with my grandkids and have so much more energy. I feel transformed and I give God the glory for helping me through your program. Thank you Susan and all the BLE community.

Wow, inspiring. I’m a UK based anaesthetist, looking to train in lifestyle medicine and had just a few days ago renewed my commitment to get on with that step. An important goal for helping to tackle obesity rates and disease burden generally. My own issue is not with weight but with artificial sweeteners and I have also strengthened my resolve to overcome that. I thank you for being brave to stand up and be heard and to develop strategies to help overcome the addiction issues so prevalent in our world today. Looking forward to a brighter future for all. 😀

My passion is being a health coach for my fellow seniors. I learned a Baby Steps method in my Gurdjieff training 40 years ago that works. Resistance and confusion melt away as you discover how to make the first step of the longest journey so SMALL — no, TINY — MINISCULE. that success is guaranteed. And then you just keep going! I first unite, through what is now known as parts work, all my seemingly disparate parts, through a series of Baby Steps before I even take the first physical step. Priming the pump, so to speak. Take the first teensy weensy step… and just keep going. Now the essential characteristics of this method have been brilliantly formulated by BJ Fogg in his book Tiny Habits: The small changes that changes everything. Some good science and research backs it up. I didn’t have a lot of weight to lose — but lose it I did. My focus now is to reverse the chronic disease that develops due to the diet and lifestyle habits that got me overweight to begin with. And it’s working: I have begun to reverse cognitive decline, heart disease, thyroid dysfunction, osteoarthritis, periodontitis and more. I am now mostly inflammation free and insulin sensitive and maintaining health and well-being. I was moved to share Tiny Habits as a powerful tool in the transformation tool box as something potentially useful in bridging the gaps in Bright Line Eating. Wishing everyone wellness!

Susan did a fundraiser to enable questions to be developed that would be added to medical exams, which would drive enrollment of medical students into lifestyle courses. To achieve the new BLE mission and partner with governments and agencies to change the global trend in obesity, what is the status of her effort?

Thanks, Susan. I completely agree that the class model no longer works. I did the Bootcamp, which I thought was great. Got the two books. Had a lot of success. 20 lbs. down in 5 months. Then I got stuck. Tried Bright Lifers. Tried other classes. Stopped doing the research questionnaire. Got lost. Dropped out. Did not reup. Too expensive. Started gaining weight. Still struggling. Good for a few days and then off for a few days. Regained 10 lbs. But I never stopped listening to your blog. I feel like you have heard me. Bless you. I look forward to what is next.
