      Mikki,
How about a bit of gratitude for the time and energy it took this full time professor and mother of 3 to put put the free information in the videos? Just because she’s marketing doesn’t mean you have any right to complain about the free aspect of it that you are receiving. She is offering a high value service that cost time and money to assemble, marketing is her right as you wait for the 3rd video.

      Tammy,

The solution isn’t in the food plan. Having a good food plan never got anyone Happy, Thin, and Free. At least not the people in this tribe. If you want a good food plan, go to one FA meeting, get a sponsor, and get a food plan. 100% free. Then walk away. Easy peasy.

The solution is in the whole system–all the parts working together. I know of no other way to deliver it than in a comprehensive program.

I’m really not being cagey here–it’s the truth.

Still in the works. The early works, actually. I have an agent, but the book deal should come in January, and the book itself Jan 1, 2017. That’s the hope anyway. Building the readership (and offering all this online) eclipsed the writing of the book for the past year.

I relate to everything you say. I’m completely controlled by food. It runs my life. Your videos are so powerful. Everything you’ve said I’ve never heard before but it all makes so much sense!! No snacks..duh. That was such a pitfall for me and now all I focus on is automaticity. 3 meals a day. I can’t beleive how just implement those two ideas have made me feel more comfortable in my relationship with food. I know I have a journey ahead of me, but I’m beyond thankful for your honest sincerity. I can’t wait to be happy, thin and most importantly free from my food addiction. I already feel more in control just from your two videos. This is not a diet to me but a lifesaving lifestyle. Thank you so much, Susan. You are deeply impacting my life and I pray God continues to lead and guide you as an instrument of hope and leadership to so many people who are desperate for your knowledge. You are an angel.

God is blessing you for blessing our lives with information we have been craving. I keep searching for answers and I’ve been receiving some decent answers lately, but your answer is at the top of my list now. You are as excited in this video as I was after watching your first video last week. I was pausing it to take notes and re-listening to parts of it to make sure I got it right. It was simply amazing!

It is very difficult to piece together a lifestyle change that actually works well. And that’s exactly what I’ve been doing, taking part of one program and adding parts of other programs to create something that made sense and would actually work. But it wasn’t really working. I am now on disability and struggling financially. I just pray that your bootcamp is something I can afford because I have 160 lbs to loose.

You are such an inspiration to me. I’m waiting on Video 3. Thank you for being such a ‘real’ person and speak out the truths. I don’t want any of this to stop. Thank you blessing my life, Linda

    Hi, Susan,

I’m really excited about your videos and your forthcoming book! I feel like I’m a special case, though. I’m a vegan and I have Type 1 Diabetes so all the science says I should be happy, thin, and free. But I’m actually 80 pounds overweight. It’s depressing. I tend to exercise a lot so I tend to have a lot of insulin reactions. And when I have an insulin attack I tend not to have any self control over how much I eat. It’s a vicious circle. Do you think your bootcamp program could help me?

Thanks, and I wish you all the luck in the world!

Yes, the universe does work (full time) in crazy ways. Somehow I stumbled on your 1st video on launch day last week and just kept on forwarding to everyone. It pulled me in 2 weeks after I “deleted” sugar and flour from my world. I had started the “Gut Revolution Diet” which reintroduces sugar etc after the first 30 days. Thank you for saving me from failure. Finally we have someone who really “gets it”. And it’s so refreshing to hear what some of us have known intuitively, and were perhaps ashamed to admit, backed up by research. You are a blessing to us all and I am honored to be able to watch you soar on the wings of all of us carboholics whom you will be helping.

I went ahead and eliminated sugar and flour starting today. I got to about 9:30 this morning before I considered having a chai latte. The craving went away and I feel much better for completing the day. By mid afternoon, I realized that my energy was steady and that I was in a pretty good place emotionally. I didn’t obsess on food all day. It was very freeing.

    Dear Susan
I came accross your videos while researching for ways to help my patients with food addiction and their eating behaviors…i can only agree with you that a behavioural aproach is the key to weight problems today… I am a nutritionist who has been practicing the classical way for years, but I always knew intuitively and from my observation that most of the people suffering from weight problems know the information about healthy eating but struggle in applying it in their one lives… Do you have any references or readings or specific training programs you propose to professionals? I ve been educating myslef in the last year in a psychotherapeutical approach ( the systemic behavioral strategic aproach ) in europe in the hope to find clues and insights that would help me in my practice and i would so much like to know more about your aproach… I currently live and practice in Istanbul-Turkey. I hope to hear from you!

OMG! This is what I’ve been “in search of” for soooo long … Susan I love you!!!
150lbs at 10… And on up from there to well over 325lbs by the time I was 16… I have never had a normal weight day in my adult life 🙁
I’ve done so many diets along the way hardly missing any of them but none were ever long lasting weight loss…. I always felt something was missing…
For the last 13 years or so I’ve been eating a lot healthier but my weight is still with me:(
On Sept 16th 2015, I figured I would try something I’d never done before … I cut out sugar and grains from my diet …. It’s been so much easier than I thought it would be!!! (Not as easy finding simple products that don’t have all that “extra stuff” in them) … I’ve had so much more energy … And then the universe sent me your first video…. After watching your videos and your vlog just now… I am so hopeful and excited that I will actually become a normal weight and be free of my addiction (9 on your Susceptibility scale) and finally feel comfortable in my own skin!!!!!
I never knew what a bright line was… But I definitely have some set up in my life now:)
Thank you… Susan you are the “real deal”… The universe has responded to your honesty and your passion in wanting to help others who have been suffering like you had ….
Thank you with all my heart… I love you, I love you, I love you.

Susan, I have been waiting for Universe to provide me with what I need to take off about forty pounds. I want to thank you not only for the program you have developed, but for the sincerity and genuineness of what and how you share. Very few presenters invite us in at the level you offer, such as this ‘eye of the storm’ experience. Lastly I just read an incredible article this morning on studies that prove we can effect other’s lives with our thoughts, kind of like prayer. I am sending you good thoughts and energy as you scramble to keep up with what is happening here. I sincerely hope there is room for me in boot camp, and if you ever put on some type of face-to-face weekend type event, this is one I would respond to, because of your openness. I have never written a post, but you make me willing and open. Again, thank you and I, and I’m sure many others, am/are rooting for you. ((:

Think people can lose weight and be healthy through this, I being one! I just want to comment that if we want a real inner change, Jesus Christ of Nazereth is the only one who can do that for you. It takes pressure off of you, Susan, to be their change. Jesus can do it for them! All you need to do is believe that Jesus has died for your sins and want a relationship with Him. He loves you more than you can even love yourself. Wow right?! I am excited for you and your message reaching so many! I’d really love to be along for the ride. As confident as i am about what is healthy to eat, i still find myself battling against self-sabotage in this society of salt, oil and sugar addicts. I’m one of those people – stoic enough to stick to a whole food plant-based diet – educated by leading nutrition experts [Colin T Campbell, Alan Goldhamer, John McDougall, et cetera] – yet i remain susceptible to the most powerful peer pressure within my own psyche. I am off to a great start; put down the cigarettes 2 weeks ago, and have released about 5 pounds of fat from my body [only 40 to go] . I hope to be apart of your boot camp – i feel i can offer as much assistance to others as they may offer to me in tackling the affluenza that is the standard American diet, which keeps us unhealthy and limited. Yes – i want to be apart of the 1% too!! And i am sure i will learn what it takes for me to finally be successful and get back to being fit and feeling great about life. 🙂

Susan, you are amazing. We’ve been following the Whole-Food Plant-Based folks for over 2 years. (Campbell, McDougall, Esselstyn, etc) with wonderful healthful results. You are like the icing on the cake … uhh… should I really use THAT analogy? Your Bright Line “free” information has already been such a help to my husband and I as we continue to strive to live a healthy life. Of your Happy, Thin and Free motto, the Free part has been the most surprising and exhilarating as we travel the bright road of finding peace with our bodies and the food we eat. Thank you so much for all of your time and effort. You deserve every penny you make from this venture.
p.s. We also appreciate your candor and warm and welcoming personality. You make us feel that you truly care about everyone achieving success. We are so blessed that you are now reaching such a wide audience.

    Susan,
Its nice to see that the chart you produced with Jeff Walker continues in a steep climb. Congrats.

My question is…. I am on 3 medications out of 4 that are for brain damage that have the side effect of weight gain and no matter how I go about it, I cannot lose that weight. Will these meds hamper my progress with Bright Line eating?

Thank you. I stumbled across a link to video 1 on facebook yesterday, and clicked on it with a mix of skepticism and hope. Hope, because I keep trying to find something that will help me in my food problems. Wary of another come-on to sell a special proprietary product, or impose another set of food rules that were conflicting, complicated, impractical, or unnecessary. Now, I am cautiously optimistic. The research you shared about willpower and how leptin does (and doesn’t) work were fascinating, informative, and useful. Over the years I’ve amassed lots of knowledge about nutrition and health, and first-hand experience of what does and doesn’t work for me, but the mix of my experience and conflicting nutrition and health advice have been too conflicted and overwhelming to formulate a basic diet plan that was both flexible enough to include all foods I know to be healthy, and still radical enough make a difference. Although you did use the words “magic” and “secret,” you told us what they were rather than keeping them to yourself to sell proprietary products. If you reserved secrets for paying customers, I would not trust your advice or believe that you really wanted to help anybody but yourself. You acknowledged all the same problems I’ve faced (plenty of knowledge about nutrition, too much time and energy spent on diet, things that did work, things that didn’t work). I already watched video 2.

I did not become obese until the last decade, but I have always been inclined to overeat. Your talks helped me see this was no coincidence; my obesity exactly corresponds to when my stress level increased fromn raising children with special needs and, consequently, my willpower consistently being drained to meet their needs. Earlier, I’d had great success following a macrobiotic diet for a few months, but ultimately I discontinued it because it felt arbitrarily limiting of foods I knew to be healthy, like meat. Still, I couldn’t distinguish which dietary restrictions were necessary or not. Too much fat, too little fat, the wrong kind of fat, probiotics, organic or not, some sugar or not, wheat or not, meat or not…. I also don’t want to spend 2 hours a day exercising to just to keep weight off, or cooking elaborate meal plans daily, when there are so many other things to do, if only I have the energy. I know some foods satisfy me better than others, and that some foods are healthier than others, but I have been unable to put all this knowledge together to help myself. Your videos rang true where others didn’t. I am cautiously optimistic that by avoiding sugar and flour, and planning and preparing meals ahead of time, I can set myself up for success without enslaving myself to calorie counting, complicated or expensive meal plans, or obsessing about food or exercise.

I received the link to your videos from a psychologist friend who knew how much I was struggling. I am a health care professional and felt so much shame about the weight I have gained over the years: I was a healthy weight until after I gave birth to my daughter. 3 years later I had several gallbladder attacks resulting in a very high amylase level ( from blocked biliary duct which led to pancreatitis ) I was rushed by ambulance to a near by city hospital and placed in ICU to get stabilised. The specialist gave me my mortality rate at 50% : I not allowed to eat for 3 weeks. Since then I have put more and more weight on ( over period of 10 years). I would diet and exercise , lose in short term but would regain. Cravings for carbs through the roof , and started a fulltime job which is highly stressful and regulating my emotions with emotional eating. Your videos have given me hope that I can stop this pattern. Thank you

I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have received the email from Ocean Robbins that introduced me to you and your amazing work. I so desperately need this boot camp, and have been watching your site like a hawk for the registration link. Please err on the side of allowing more people to register, because right now I can’t bear the thought of missing out! Like you, I have twins (they just turned two), and I can already see that my son shares my addictive personality. I want to heal myself so I can heal him too. Thanks for all that you do, and please know how much it is appreciated and desperately needed!!

    Susan,
I come across a lot of this kind of thing as you know in the on-line world and like everyone have to sort through what is worth watching and paying attention to. I am a holistic nutritionist, I have taught yoga and meditation for going on 19 years, I am also a teacher of visually impaired children and have twin boys (13). Life is crazy busy right now.
I have never really had a weight issue but when I hit “peri-menopause” (I am now 47). I really got what some of my clients were going through with food – it was like everything changed. I started monitoring and checking out my blood sugar, insulin and hormones and trying to understand it physiologically – what I think I get most clearly is how relevant “stress” is, and how we often fall down at the end of the day. I spend so much time in the kitchen preparing food for my family – real/whole food – , in the afternoon, that is really the only time I want to keep eating – all healthy and no sugar or flour – but I came to realize that one can eat too much good food too. I have learned through my own meditation to find a balance between allowing myself to eat a little extra while in the kitchen and carefully deciding what that content is… I start everyday in prayer/meditation and yoga and open to guidance – one of the biggest challenges I see my clients go through is managing time (which impacts how we manage stress). I like to think of “God” a “greater intelligence” as leading me through the day, letting go of a little control around both food and time. This helps me a lot – surrendering – having said that I already have a lot of food rules in place – I never eat sugar or flour products – just don’t need them anymore – it is a wonderful way to be free.
I love your honesty, this is why I am sticking with the video watching. I have always felt that my own work was very much centred around the psychology and spiritual aspects of managing food and stress.

I am watching before I send on to my world of clients – who I think could use you.

    Sincerely, Sarah

(Another reason I listened to you was because you have a similar name to my first and most influential yoga teacher who brought me into teaching a long time ago – it seemed I was meant to connect with you.)

    Love and Peace.

I am ready!!! I am an 8 on the susceptibility scale and not sure how much I weigh since I am too chicken to get on a scale. I guesstimate around 230 lbs @ 5’10″…size 18/20. I have dieted my whole life & was even put on amphetamines by my pediatrician when I was 12. Looking forward to your boot camp & I pray that I get the opportunity to join. God Bless You & Thank You!

I have to say, I don’t fully understand this program and when you say give up flour are you speaking of a particular type of flour (like white) or all flours, even those like mung bean and chickpea flours which are rich in fiber and nutrients. Also, i am vegan and can’t really see how this program would work for me since I do eat sprouted whole grain bread and the flours I listed above. Care to comment on veganism and Bright Line Eating?

    Thanks,

Susan you are incredible. the bright line eating system is something that -finally -is based on science and psychology, not wishful thinking. i first heard of you on the ” health bridge” podcast, and looked you up. I became very excited that this could finally end my eating problems forever. the excitement it stirred up is due to the collective sigh of thanks. thanks for not judging, but treating eating disorders with respect!
i would desperately like to do your bootcamp but i am financially unable to at the present time.
Do you have any advice for what steps we could start with, besides giving up flour/sugar, and the 3 meal rule…until the day when we can finally read your plan in book form? i don’t think i can wait 2 years!

I just received a link from another email list about your system and watched video 3. I’m wondering if all of your information is on video only including the boot camp, or is there transcript/written information. I live in a very rural area with no high speed internet except for satellite and it is very limiting. I was also wondering if there is corresponding scientific data on alcoholism and a system that would make it easier for alcoholics (or other substance abusers) to get and stay sober?

I want to thank you for all you are doing, but I just don’t know if I can do it. I’ve tried to give up sugar lots of times and I’ve given up smoking lots of times but I always go back to it. I really do need help, so I’ve regestered for the live presentation just hope I don’t forget. Thanks again. Marilyn

Thank you Susan for the amazing information and your down to earth way of speaking and informing all of us who struggle with eating addictions. At the ripe old age of 64 it’s really now or never! I am pre-diabetic and truly must be 85 pounds overweight. My God how did I get here? Wait, I know – my sugar addition. As a person who lives on social security disability I am anxiously awaiting the release of video 4 and the boot camp info and pray I can afford it..this could be my life saver…somehow I feel like I know you..you are sweet and caring and I hope I can join your Briteline tribe. Thank you again. You rock!!

Hello, I was sent a link to your videos today… I had never heard of Bright Lines before, but can relate to one I had but did not know it… When I quit smoking I realized that I could never smoke even one or I would be back to being a smoker, it has been about 30 years since quitting. I have not been so successful with my diet, though. I am hoping to see your meal plan. Thank you for sharing yourself and your knowledge with the world…
